Crisólia FBPA's Alessandro Ramalho proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 13th minute of the match, managed to save Crisólia FBPA from getting a goal against them. Crisólia FBPA's defense didn't have a chance, in the 17th minute, when Octav Mergea scored to the left of an out of position Alessandro Ramalho, making the score, 1-0. After 20 played minutes Crisólia FBPA got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Penha. In the 23rd minute, FC Steaua Pildesti's Gheorghe Vlăsiu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Alessandro Ramalho. Alessandro Ramalho yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. In the 32nd match minute, Crisólia FBPA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nestor Leão to maneuver through the defense. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dida Porto during the 37th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dida Porto hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. With his leg Alessandro Ramalho managed to avoid a goal in the 39thth minute, when FC Steaua Pildesti's Octav Mergea fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Francisco Penha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dinu Bălașa having to make a save. Dinu Bălașa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Francisco Penha, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Francisco Penha in the 47th minute of play forced FC Steaua Pildesti's goalkeeper Dinu Bălașa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francisco Penha made a kick off. Roberto Neiva recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Alessandro Ramalho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leontin Barbosu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, FC Steaua Pildesti's Dinu Bălașa got control of the ball when Roberto Neiva tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 94 minutes into the game, when Dida Porto put in a rough tackle. The referee gave FC Steaua Pildesti a penalty, 97 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Rareș Ficsinescu, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Crisólia FBPA's Alessandro Ramalho. 3-1. Crisólia FBPA's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
