Flamengo de San Blás's Edgardo Murillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 8th minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo de San Blás from getting a goal against them. 12 minutes into the game, Flamengo de San Blás's Reggie De Leon nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Rosendo Gelmiro made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. 15 minutes into the match, LA LUZ F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Reggie De Leon came free, but Rosendo Gelmiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgardo Murillo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Maximino Berart, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo de San Blás's zone, Eulalio Veronica stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Murillo came out of the goal and Eulalio Veronica tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Reggie De Leon left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Flamengo de San Blás fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. After 30 played minutes LA LUZ F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Simon Quinten. When Wiliam Gómez came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the Flamengo de San Blás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Wiliam Gómez couldn't finish the play. Flamengo de San Blás's Edgardo Murillo proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Flamengo de San Blás from getting a goal against them. 35 minutes into the game, Froilan Ofelio was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. LA LUZ F.C.'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Flamengo de San Blás the free kick. In the 47th minute of the match Alexander Calderón shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rosendo Gelmiro showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. The LA LUZ F.C. players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Flamengo de San Blás were winning 1-2.

LA LUZ F.C. made a substitution. Leonel Emmanuel replaced Maximino Berart. LA LUZ F.C.'s Fabian Rosario was substituted for Orlando Johans. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Leonel Emmanuel made a kick off. Eulalio Veronica sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 58th minute, Pablo Ortega managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo de San Blás's supporters rose to their feet, but Pablo Ortega was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rosendo Gelmiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 67 played minutes Flamengo de San Blás got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Fernández. After 69 played minutes Flamengo de San Blás got a freekick which was hit by Reggie De Leon. After some fancy dribbling in the 76th minute, Reinaldo Murillo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Flamengo de San Blás's supporters rose to their feet, but Reinaldo Murillo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. The referee showed Ulpiano Quirós the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Ulpiano Quirós hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 98 played minutes Flamengo de San Blás got a freekick which was hit by Pablo Ortega. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
