The crowd rose to their feet as FC Steaua Pildesti's Cornel Rogozea slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gustav Wästerberg. That made the score 1-0 after 13 minutes of play. 19 minutes into the match, FC Steaua Pildesti's goal looked a bit too open when Fritz Mattsson came free, but Eric Frântu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when AC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Algot Bremming didn't get a good kick on the ball. Michael Flinck hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Otto Brask stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the last second Eric Frântu throw himself and got hold of the ball when Otto Brask in the 77thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. AC United's Gustav Wästerberg played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Octav Mergea in the 78th minute of play. In the 79th minute, Otto Brask hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 79 minutes into the match, Octav Mergea had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gustav Wästerberg. AC United's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Octav Mergea was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-3. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Octav Mergea in the 89th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gustav Wästerberg saved AC United from getting behind. The supporters of FC Steaua Pildesti booed when AC United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position. Michael Flinck didn't get a good kick on the ball. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
