Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Perrando in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Edgardo Murillo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Flamengo de San Blás's zone, Isaac Perrando stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edgardo Murillo came out of the goal and Isaac Perrando tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 18th match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Severino Loco to maneuver through the defense. Wiliam Gómez took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 19th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Teodoro Eladio. Martin Palermo F.C.'s goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 22nd match minute, Martin Palermo F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Natalio Indar to maneuver through the defense. In the 23rd minute of the match Wiliam Gómez sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Teodoro Eladio skillfully saved the ball. Reggie De Leon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guido Orlo in the 35th minute of play forced Flamengo de San Blás's goalkeeper Edgardo Murillo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Edgardo Murillo was out of position in the 45 minute of play, and Isaac Perrando capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Isaac Perrando really showed his touch with that goal: 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Francesco Morris to make the kick off. In the 64th minute Reinaldo Murillo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Teodoro Eladio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Flamengo de San Blás getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Lorenzo Paredes hit a great ball. When Francesco Morris came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Flamengo de San Blás fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Francesco Morris couldn't finish the play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Flamengo de San Blás players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Martin Palermo F.C..
