The tension between the Martin Palermo F.C. and the AC United players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santiago Vito hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. In the 12th minute, Eskil Danielsson sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Martin Palermo F.C.'s Teodoro Eladio didn't even have to move. After 16 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Botello. When the match clock showed 18 minutes, the score became 0-1 when Isaac Perrando sped through AC United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gustav Wästerberg. Algot Bremming hit a great freekick 23 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes, Martin Palermo F.C.'s Guido Orlo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Gustav Wästerberg came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Otto Brask made a kick off. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Teodoro Eladio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fritz Mattsson in the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Christer Mattsson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Isaac Perrando in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gustav Wästerberg prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Gustav Wästerberg stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Isaac Perrando's shot from short distance in the 78th minute. Santiago Vito got his second yellow card in the match during the 86th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 87 played minutes Martin Palermo F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Santiago Vito.
