The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Hermínio Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cleto Sindo in the 23rd minute of play. In the 27th minute, Gustavo Grabiel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hermínio Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Felix Rumaldo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 42nd minute Cleto Sindo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hermínio Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Reyes F.C.'s Angel Gartzi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hílton de Brito in the 45th minute of play. Hermínio Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Omar Salvidor in the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Ulysses Vaz to strike the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Vila Zumbi's goal looked a bit too open when Cleto Sindo came free, but Hermínio Silva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle sounded Reyes F.C. left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Vila Zumbi.
