Rene Goyo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 3 minutes, Caio de Almeida managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sipo EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Caio de Almeida was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Célio Cardoso took the ball and in the 6 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Everardo Meder. Everardo Meder dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. With a little luck, Sipo EC's Simão Custódio got control of the ball when Enrique Venerando tried to sneak it across the goal line. 14 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Didi da Mata came free, but Everardo Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 19 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Caio de Almeida. The supporters of C.A.Independiente booed when Sipo EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Agostinho Tasso didn't get a good kick on the ball. Enrique Venerando struck a weak shot in the 30th minute. Simão Custódio didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for C.A.Independiente. Sipo EC's Simão Custódio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Venerando in the 31st minute of play. Reynaldo Fraco charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Reynaldo Fraco the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Reynaldo Fraco hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. Oséas Pirani kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. After 36 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Douglas de Queirós. Everardo Meder showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Agostinho Tasso, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. 41 minutes into the match, C.A.Independiente's goal looked a bit too open when Didi da Mata came free, but Everardo Meder reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Sipo EC's Didi da Mata got a good chance for a goal in the 42nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

C.A.Independiente's Everardo Meder proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save C.A.Independiente from getting a goal against them. After 69 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Marquinhos Pitta. After 80 played minutes Sipo EC got a freekick which was hit by Didi da Mata. Simão Custódio showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arsenio Jaizki in the 81st minute of the match. In the 85th minute Agostinho Tasso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 86th minute Thiago Cruz shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Everardo Meder saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 94th minute, Caio de Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. C.A.Independiente were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
