Alzaga FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Pavlos Papazacharias ran over to the corner to take the kick. AC Milan's Pavlos Papazacharias was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Jorge Nesto in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. After 6 played minutes AC Milan got a freekick which was hit by Kostas Manouselis. After 7 played minutes, Alzaga FC's Silverio Hodei shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Fotis Tatsis came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Alzaga FC reached it. In the 11th minute Cristobal Silvanito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fotis Tatsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alekos Volakis didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aris Kortzidis charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Aris Kortzidis the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Aris Kortzidis hit a great freekick 15 minutes into the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuel Kinsen in the 19th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fotis Tatsis prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 23rd minute, Emanuel Kinsen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Fotis Tatsis was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-0. After having played for 26 minutes, Federico Frisco managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alzaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Federico Frisco was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Alzaga FC's Tiburcio Quintun got a free kick in the 27th minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Alzaga FC's Severo Gilen slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Fotis Tatsis. That made the score 3-0 after 33 minutes of play. Fotis Tatsis was a little too slow when Severo Gilen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 4-0. 42 minutes into the match, Emanuel Kinsen notched a goal, 5-0, to the right of AC Milan's Fotis Tatsis. Fotis Tatsis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The supporters of Alzaga FC booed when AC Milan was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fanis Panousis didn't get a good kick on the ball. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nikos Kosmidis stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, AC Milan's goal looked a bit too open when Severo Gilen came free, but Fotis Tatsis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fotis Tatsis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emanuel Kinsen in the 56th minute of the match. When Kostas Manouselis fell near the penalty area in the 58th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored AC Milan's protests and gave Kostas Manouselis a yellow card for diving instead. In the 58th match minute, AC Milan was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kostas Manouselis to maneuver through the defense. In the 59th minute Severo Gilen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fotis Tatsis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
