After 26 minutes, Roger Rosado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Meia Praia and the OTTO FC - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th minute, Roger Rosado hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cacá Breckenfeld was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Caco de Lima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Régis Pombal came out and tried to block the shot, but Caco de Lima slotted it home off the left post making it 1-1 in the 36th minute. Grêmio Meia Praia's Régis Pombal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Grêmio Meia Praia from getting a goal against them. Through an outstanding action, after 44 minutes, Régis Pombal successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dudu Rossi during the 45th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. If Fernando Vergílio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The tension between the OTTO FC - FSCMZ and the Grêmio Meia Praia players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 54th minute, Dedê Travassos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fernando Vergílio in the 55th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Régis Pombal saved Grêmio Meia Praia from getting behind. Cacá Breckenfeld made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luizão de Andrade in the 67th minute of play. Grêmio Meia Praia's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Carlos Eduardo Cardozo in the 69th minute. 72 minutes into the match, Fernando Vergílio had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Régis Pombal. Grêmio Meia Praia's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Fernando Vergílio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. When Fernando Vergílio came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the OTTO FC - FSCMZ fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fernando Vergílio couldn't finish the play. Luizão de Andrade kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. If Horácio Tande had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Régis Pombal came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by OTTO FC - FSCMZ's Fernando Vergílio. But to his dismay, Fernando Vergílio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. After 90 minutes, Wesley Paraense mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Grêmio Meia Praia and the OTTO FC - FSCMZ players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Grêmio Meia Praia's Wesley Paraense got a free kick in the 90th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fernando Vergílio in the 92nd minute of play forced Grêmio Meia Praia's goalkeeper Régis Pombal to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
