The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 3 minutes into the match, Orestis Koskinopoulos dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Okanalp Kutlubay, 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Michalis Bouras got free with Okanalp Kutlubay in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Panos Tsiabras in the 9th minute of play forced AYYILDIZ's goalkeeper Okanalp Kutlubay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of GOD OF WAR booed when AYYILDIZ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hulusi Uysal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Anthimos Chatzikostas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Selim Tezeren in the 15th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 17 minutes, Anthimos Farmakatos took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Okanalp Kutlubay to make any attempt to save it. After 19 played minutes AYYILDIZ got a freekick which was hit by Tansu Bağışhan. Panos Tsiabras could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Okanalp Kutlubay made a huge save. In the 36th match minute, GOD OF WAR was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Panos Karnezis to maneuver through the defense. AYYILDIZ's Okanalp Kutlubay played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anthimos Farmakatos in the 46th minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tansu Bağışhan stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Michalis Bouras's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Okanalp Kutlubay was relentless in the 57th minute of the game.
