Waldemar Rybak made an important save on a dangerous shot by Morten Hestad in the 3rd minute. 5 minutes into the game, Andrzej Makarewicz was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. GKS Milenium's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Åsnes the free kick. After a rather tough play, GKS Milenium's Andrzej Makarewicz got a free kick in the 7th minute. Kristian Sandersen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Waldemar Rybak having to interfere. Isak Stenersens short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Waldemar Rybak to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After 12 minutes of play, Åsnes's Rune Gjessing made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldemar Rybak was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Åsnes booed when GKS Milenium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Filip Maziarz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Runar Støen showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Waclaw Cupial in the 19th minute of the match. Kristian Sandersen in the 20thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Waldemar Rybak, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Kristian Sandersen could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Waldemar Rybak made a huge save. Kristian Sandersen who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 23rdth minute tested the skills of Waldemar Rybak when he managed to save the team from getting behind. In the 25th minute, GKS Milenium's Stefan Marajda seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Stefan Marajda the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of GKS Milenium protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Stefan Marajda had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. A collision led to GKS Milenium getting a freekick after 26 minutes play. Stefan Marajda hit a great ball. 27 minutes into the match, GKS Milenium's goalkeeper Waldemar Rybak had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rune Gjessing. The audience thought a goal was coming when Morten Hestad got free with Waldemar Rybak in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 3-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Waclaw Cupial stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes, Waclaw Cupial mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Milenium and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Åsnes booed when GKS Milenium was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Waclaw Cupial didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 59 minutes of play, Åsnes's Rune Gjessing made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Waldemar Rybak was left in no man's land by his defense there! Waldemar Rybak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Hestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Arnt Honningsvåg fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Åsnes's protests and gave Arnt Honningsvåg a yellow card for diving instead. In the 67thth minute of the game Daniel Dehli who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GKS Milenium's Waldemar Rybak was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Rune Gjessing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The audience was convinced that Morten Hestad's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Waldemar Rybak was relentless in the 72nd minute of the game. GKS Milenium's Waldemar Rybak played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Sandersen in the 74th minute of play. Waldemar Rybak took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Morten Hestad, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a defensive mix-up in GKS Milenium's zone, Petter Vartdal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Waldemar Rybak came out of the goal and Petter Vartdal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute Isak Stenersen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Rybak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rune Gjessing scored 6-0 in the 83rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Waldemar Rybak, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 88 minutes, Pawel Bielejewski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the GKS Milenium and the Åsnes players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 88 played minutes GKS Milenium got a freekick which was hit by Pawel Bielejewski. In the 89th minute of the match Kristian Sandersen sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldemar Rybak skillfully saved the ball. Waldemar Rybak came out of the goal in the 91st minute to try and stop a shot by Åsnes's Rune Gjessing. But to his dismay, Rune Gjessing quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 7-0. If Rune Gjessing had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
