After 2 played minutes Åsnes got a freekick which was hit by Arnt Honningsvåg. Åsnes's Edgard Leirvåg came free and shot a quick shot against goal 4 minutes in the game, fortunately Peter Åström had problems saving as it came toward the left post. Vilhelm Lidman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Runar Støen having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Tierp FC's Kalle Eriksson got a free kick in the 8th minute. Arnt Honningsvåg hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Leirvåg got free with Peter Åström in the 16th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tierp FC's Kalle Eriksson got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 25 minutes, Kristian Sandersen put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Peter Åström. With an all-out effort, Åsnes's Peter Åström threw himself towards the right post 29 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Rune Gjessing, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. 35 minutes into the match, Petter Vartdal notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Tierp FC's Peter Åström. Peter Åström was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Kristian Sandersens short, quick shot in the 38thth minute got Peter Åström to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Marko Andberg's late challenge caught a Åsnes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Marko Andberg helped the player get up and apologised. Marko Andberg kicked well hit freekick during the 39th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Leirvåg got free with Peter Åström in the 40th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Tierp FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 42nd minute, when Rune Gjessing scored to the left of an out of position Peter Åström, making the score, 3-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Edgard Leirvåg got free with Peter Åström in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Vilhelm Lidman made a kick off. Peter Åström made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kristian Sandersen in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Bertil Vennerberg hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Måns Lindqvist fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Tierp FC's protests and gave Måns Lindqvist a yellow card for diving instead. After 54 played minutes Tierp FC got a freekick which was hit by Måns Lindqvist. Kristian Sandersen received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Peter Åström tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Petter Vartdal kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Gjessing in the 62nd minute of play forced Tierp FC's goalkeeper Peter Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Åsnes's Steffen Askvik got a free kick in the 63rd minute. The audience was convinced that Edgard Leirvåg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Åström was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. Tierp FC's Peter Åström played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kristian Sandersen in the 84th minute of play. In the 86th minute, Edgard Leirvåg got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Peter Åström showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rune Gjessing, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. The audience was convinced that Rune Gjessing's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Peter Åström was relentless in the 88th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rune Gjessing in the 90th minute of play forced Tierp FC's goalkeeper Peter Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd match minute, Tierp FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fritz Tunander to maneuver through the defense. Åsnes's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
