In the 7th minute, Ivan Kvick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 10 minutes into the match, Tierp FC's Allan Ekström sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dick Browall narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Allan Ekström received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Dick Browall tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Roy Holm hit a great freekick 20 minutes into the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Juhlin during the 25th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Köping's Alfred Juhlin got a free kick in the 25th minute. Hugo Rudqvist might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Peter Åström. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hugo Rudqvist ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hugo Rudqvist in the 28th minute of play forced Tierp FC's goalkeeper Peter Åström to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Per-Erik Allbom hit a great freekick 30 minutes into the match. Dick Browall stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Allan Ekström's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. After 32 played minutes Tierp FC got a freekick which was hit by Kalle Eriksson. In the 35th minute, Per-Erik Allbom got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. If Per-Erik Allbom had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Peter Åström made an important save on a dangerous shot by Per-Erik Allbom in the 38th minute. In the 47th minute Vilhelm Lidman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dick Browall saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hugo Rudqvist to strike the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Allan Ekström's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dick Browall was relentless in the 51st minute of the game. After some fancy dribbling in the 56th minute, Hugo Rudqvist managed to get in a good position for a shot. Köping's supporters rose to their feet, but Hugo Rudqvist was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Åström breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Tierp FC getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Kalle Eriksson hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Kalle Eriksson was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tierp FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Köping the free kick. But to his dismay, Vilhelm Lidman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. In the 92nd minute, Kalle Eriksson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Hugo Rudqvist had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Tierp FC booed when Köping was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Roy Holm didn't get a good kick on the ball. The Tierp FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Tierp FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
