After a defensive mix-up in Los Bacanas FC's zone, Quincy Minor stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Danilo Teles came out of the goal and Quincy Minor tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Danilo Teles made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Jarrett Poirier sent off a good shot on target. Dinei Trancoso hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. The supporters of Vancouver Reds booed when Los Bacanas FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Jeremias Araújo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Los Bacanas FC's Danilo Teles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Quincy Minor in the 19th minute of play. 21 minutes into the game, Jarrett Poirier cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Danilo Teles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Los Bacanas FC's Danilo Teles proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 24th minute of the match, managed to save Los Bacanas FC from getting a goal against them. Alfred Prince might have been able to make a better finish in the 29th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Danilo Teles. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alfred Prince ran back to his position shaking his head. Danilo Teles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jarrett Poirier went, in the 31st minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. The audience thought a goal was coming when Jarrett Poirier got free with Danilo Teles in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeremias Araújo charged in rather forcefully in the 41st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jeremias Araújo the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 42nd match minute, Los Bacanas FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeremias Araújo to maneuver through the defense. Danilo Teles made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jarrett Poirier in the 44th minute. Danilo Teles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Quincy Minor, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Los Bacanas FC's Danilo Teles got control of the ball when Jarrett Poirier tried to sneak it across the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Eurico Jacinto to make the kick off. Danilo Teles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thanh Dodd, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Thanh Dodd scored 3-0 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Danilo Teles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Heriberto Walton made an important save on a dangerous shot by Eurico Jacinto in the 56th minute. Desmond Lynch kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. With 63 minutes on the clock, Dinei Trancoso commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Los Bacanas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 63rd minute. Penalty! The referee gave Vancouver Reds a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. A collision led to Vancouver Reds getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Alfred Prince hit a great ball. In the 81st minute, Davi Santana reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Heriberto Walton. The goal made the score 4-2.
