The supporters of Herblay booed when Ballkam Sportsklubb was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Olaf Laursen didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 4 played minutes, Herblay's Lucien Decottignies shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Johan Haugo came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Herblay reached it. Johan Haugo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jean-Charles Gauche, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. In the 7th minute Tobias Lind shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Norbert Domenech saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee felt a red card was in order, 8 minutes into the game, when Redouane Caffier put in a rough tackle. 7 minutes into the game, one of Herblay:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. When the match had been going on for 9 minutes, Ballkam Sportsklubb's Tobias Lind got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Norbert Domenech. 12 minutes into the match, Herblay's goal looked a bit too open when Olaf Laursen came free, but Norbert Domenech reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lucien Decottignies during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Lucien Decottignies hit a great ball. In the 20thth minute of the game Albert Albertsen who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Herblay's Norbert Domenech was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Norbert Domenech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasper Flinta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Albert Albertsen fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Norbert Domenech having to interfere. A collision led to Herblay getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Jonathan Samuel hit a great ball. Dennis Moss took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 28th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Norbert Domenech. Herblay's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Herblay's Norbert Domenech proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 29th minute of the match, managed to save Herblay from getting a goal against them. In the 31st minute Jean-Charles Gauche shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Johan Haugo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 31 minutes into the match, Jean-Charles Gauche notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Ballkam Sportsklubb's Johan Haugo. Norbert Domenech yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-2. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Tobias Lind stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Albert Albertsen recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 52nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
