In the 16th match minute, El Retorno de Palermo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Cornelio Itzaina to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermegildo Mergildo in the 20th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 20th minute, Cornelio Itzaina hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Amancio Urtats showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jesus Jayvier in the 22nd minute of the match. 25 minutes into the match, El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tiburcio Buinton. In the 26th minute, LA DEL MONO's Ermegildo Mergildo dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-2. In the 31st minute, Jesus Jayvier made a precise shot to the right of Amancio Urtats. El Retorno de Palermo's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Rigoberto Anaya hit a great freekick 34 minutes into the match. 3-2 became the score in the 40th minute when Tiburcio Buinton elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Amancio Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ermegildo Mergildo in the 43rd minute of play. With 45 minutes on the clock, Vinicio Ekhi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. After a rather tough play, El Retorno de Palermo's Vinicio Ekhi got a free kick in the 45th minute. Amancio Urtats made an important save on a dangerous shot by Constantino Dominic in the 48th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-2.

El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Buinton in the 53rd minute of play. In the 56th minute Tiburcio Buinton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Amancio Urtats saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to El Retorno de Palermo getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Bartolo Pacho hit a great ball. Amancio Urtats showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aurelio Lucero, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. El Retorno de Palermo's Amancio Urtats played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tiburcio Buinton in the 92nd minute of play.
