The audience was convinced that Anastasio Salvidor's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Albertinho Mattos was relentless in the 10th minute of the game. Raining Blood's Albertinho Mattos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anastasio Salvidor in the 12th minute of play. Bartolo Pacho charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. Raining Blood's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Eduardo Leão was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Leão in the 34th minute of play forced El Retorno de Palermo's goalkeeper Amancio Urtats to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Amancio Urtats took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Luís Eduardo Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Amancio Urtats made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Leão in the 40th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bartolo Pacho to make the kick off. Amancio Urtats was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Anastasio Salvidor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Albertinho Mattos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bartolo Pacho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 85th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Raining Blood had won after a very even match.
