Traian Pantea came out of the goal in the 17th minute to try and stop a shot by Elefanterna's Harry Stenqvist. But to his dismay, Harry Stenqvist quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. 21 minutes into the game, Liviu Buceceanu was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ares FC -MM-'s manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Elefanterna the free kick. Liviu Buceceanu hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Stig-Åke Brogren showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pompiliu Cristescu in the 23rd minute of the match. 26 minutes into the match, Ares FC -MM-'s goal looked a bit too open when Aron Grelsson came free, but Traian Pantea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Elefanterna's Stig-Åke Brogren played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Gigi Arosculesei in the 28th minute of play. Aurelian Lupoi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 39th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Stig-Åke Brogren. Elefanterna's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 42nd minute Constantin Stoicescu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Stig-Åke Brogren saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 43rd match minute, Elefanterna was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Harry Stenqvist to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Elefanterna's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Brogren, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 47th minute, Pompiliu Cristescu ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stig-Åke Brogren was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Pompiliu Cristescu made the kick off in the second half. Elefanterna's Harry Stenqvist got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Traian Pantea took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sivert Ström, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Constantin Stoicescu during the 63rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Constantin Stoicescu hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Traian Pantea made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sivert Ström in the 64th minute of play. A collision led to Elefanterna getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Sivert Ström hit a great ball. Harry Stenqvist received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Traian Pantea tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Stoicescu in the 74th minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Brogren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Ares FC -MM-'s Aurelian Lupoi slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Stig-Åke Brogren. That made the score 1-2 after 80 minutes of play. Elefanterna's defense didn't have a chance, in the 83rd minute, when Gigi Arosculesei scored to the left of an out of position Stig-Åke Brogren, making the score, 1-3. 88 minutes into the match, Elefanterna's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Brogren had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Gigi Arosculesei. In the 91st match minute, Ares FC -MM- was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pavel Fulga to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Constantin Stoicescu in the 96th minute of play forced Elefanterna's goalkeeper Stig-Åke Brogren to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Ares FC -MM- walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
