Almeyra F.C.'s Edelmiro Ticho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Matias Zuñiga in the 6th minute of play. Edelmiro Ticho took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Xavier Landeros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Ajax Colombiano booed when Almeyra F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Baldomero Osoitz didn't get a good kick on the ball. Edelmiro Ticho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Zuñiga in the 19th minute of play. Edelmiro Ticho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Belmiro Hoyuelos, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Bautista Bausa in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Edelmiro Ticho saved Almeyra F.C. from getting behind. In the 37th minute Belmiro Hoyuelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edelmiro Ticho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matias Zuñiga took the ball and in the 44 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Edelmiro Ticho. Edelmiro Ticho dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Belmiro Hoyuelos kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. After the first half Ajax Colombiano were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Bautista Bausa to strike the kick off in the second half. Baldomiro Gonzales charged in rather forcefully in the 52nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Baldomiro Gonzales the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 52nd minute, Baldomiro Gonzales hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 54 minutes into the match, Lázaro Ascencio notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Ajax Colombiano's Mancio Arana. Mancio Arana was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 57th play minutes Matias Zuñiga shot 1-3, a short shot which went by Edelmiro Ticho and just under the crossbar into goal. Xavier Landeros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Edelmiro Ticho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Baldomiro Gonzales was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 71 minutes had been played. A collision led to Almeyra F.C. getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Baldomiro Gonzales hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Ajax Colombiano's Cayetano Pujol got a free kick in the 76th minute. Edelmiro Ticho made an important save on a dangerous shot by Belmiro Hoyuelos in the 78th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Roman Hernandez in the 80th minute of play forced Ajax Colombiano's goalkeeper Mancio Arana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bautista Bausa got free with Edelmiro Ticho in the 82nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Alejo Gizon's late challenge caught a Ajax Colombiano's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alejo Gizon helped the player get up and apologised. In the 86th match minute, Almeyra F.C. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alejo Gizon to maneuver through the defense. Bautista Bausa scored 1-4 in the 90th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edelmiro Ticho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
