Narciso Jerrald was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Ajax Colombiano's Matias Zuñiga in 19 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Narciso Jerrald guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. After 19 minutes, Matias Zuñiga made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. RIVER's Narciso Jerrald tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. RIVER's Narciso Jerrald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Belmiro Hoyuelos in the 22nd minute of play. Ajax Colombiano's Mancio Arana played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nicasio Mendebal in the 30th minute of play. Narciso Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Zuñiga in the 33rd minute of play. Mancio Arana showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Florentino Endira, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Narciso Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Belmiro Hoyuelos in the 46th minute of play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anselmo Esdras to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Belmiro Hoyuelos couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Ajax Colombiano's Matias Zuñiga got a free kick in the 90th minute. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
