Feliberto Sadurni kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. In the 7th minute, Jose Artizar left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Anjullan AFC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. In the 10th minute, Joel Pelagius hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 11 played minutes Anjullan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ladislao Isadore. Samuel Lertxun might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elias Cristos. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Samuel Lertxun ran back to his position shaking his head. Joel Pelagius hit a great freekick 19 minutes into the match. Feliberto Sadurni kicked well hit freekick during the 29th minute of the match. Narciso Jerrald came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Anjullan AFC's Joel Pelagius. But to his dismay, Joel Pelagius quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After some careless play in the RIVER defense, Jose Artizar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Narciso Jerrald. The RIVER fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Narciso Jerrald should have stopped the shot. Narciso Jerrald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jose Artizar, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Narciso Jerrald made a fantastic save in the 48th minute, when Jose Artizar sent off a good shot on target. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Jose Artizar to make the kick off. Narciso Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joel Pelagius in the 51st minute of play. Narciso Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Pelagius, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 58 minutes into the match, Basilio Salomone had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Jerrald. RIVER's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Basilio Salomone was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 4-0. RIVER's Gerardo Ixaka was substituted for Cecilio Rencio. A collision led to Anjullan AFC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Victoriano Sansone hit a great ball. Anjullan AFC's Ariel Godoy was substituted for Marcos Ibar. After 68 played minutes Anjullan AFC got a freekick which was hit by Victoriano Sansone. 71 minutes into the match, RIVER's goal looked a bit too open when Joel Pelagius came free, but Narciso Jerrald reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 74th minute, Joel Pelagius made a precise shot to the right of Narciso Jerrald. RIVER's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. Narciso Jerrald made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jose Artizar in the 84th minute of play. Narciso Jerrald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joel Pelagius, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. 93 minutes into the match, Joel Pelagius had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Narciso Jerrald.
