Tyrone McCracken made an important save on a dangerous shot by Doğa Cambaz in the 20th minute. After 22 minutes of play, Kentucky Mustangs's Sal Whittington made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Halil Pekinturk was left in no man's land by his defense there! 27 minutes into the game, Melvin Snyder was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kentucky Mustangs's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave 1903 Barranspor ☪ the free kick. Melvin Snyder hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Hüsnü Perker took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 29th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tyrone McCracken. Kentucky Mustangs's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 35th match minute, Kentucky Mustangs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gabriel Dennison to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th minute of the match Hüseyin Rahmi Dölek shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tyrone McCracken showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Wade Olson blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Halil Pekinturk having to make a save. A collision led to Kentucky Mustangs getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Melvin Snyder hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Kentucky Mustangs made a substitution. Reynaldo Villegas replaced Ramon Chung. Halil Pekinturk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wade Olson showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 58 minute of play. Sal Whittington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Halil Pekinturk having to interfere. With a little luck, 1903 Barranspor ☪'s Halil Pekinturk got control of the ball when Santo Finney tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of 1903 Barranspor ☪ booed when Kentucky Mustangs was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 95 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melvin Snyder didn't get a good kick on the ball. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Kentucky Mustangs would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
