The referee showed Stu Izzard the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Deportivo Medievales booed when Manchester United F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 19 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stu Izzard didn't get a good kick on the ball. Valentin Benitez's late challenge caught a Manchester United F.C.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Valentin Benitez helped the player get up and apologised. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ronnie Howard in the 24th minute of play forced Deportivo Medievales's goalkeeper Atilano Pirmin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dennis Chegwyn took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 25th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Atilano Pirmin. Deportivo Medievales's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Martyn Patten was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Mario Lauaxeta showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 34 minute of play. After 37 played minutes Manchester United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Alex Locking. In the 40th minute Ronnie Howard shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Atilano Pirmin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 42 minutes into the match, Mario Lauaxeta notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Manchester United F.C.'s Martyn Patten. Martyn Patten was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Manchester United F.C.'s Stu Izzard got his second yellow card of the match in the 45th minute. The referee ordered Stu Izzard off the ground. After 46 played minutes Manchester United F.C. got a freekick which was hit by Stu Izzard. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gualterio Niguel made a kick off. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 61 minutes into the match, Manchester United F.C.'s goal looked a bit too open when Gualterio Niguel came free, but Martyn Patten reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the match clock showed 65 minutes, the score became 3-0 when Gualterio Niguel sped through Manchester United F.C.'s defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Martyn Patten. A collision led to Deportivo Medievales getting a freekick after 72 minutes play. Gualterio Niguel hit a great ball. Martyn Patten took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mario Lauaxeta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Martyn Patten showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mario Lauaxeta, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Baldomiro Aimar during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Deportivo Medievales's Atilano Pirmin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ronnie Howard in the 92nd minute of play. The supporters of Manchester United F.C. booed when Deportivo Medievales was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mario Lauaxeta didn't get a good kick on the ball.
