Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Taci Argün might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Antonio Sorriva. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Taci Argün ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Sociedad Anónima's Antonio Sorriva got control of the ball when Taci Argün tried to sneak it across the goal line. Club Atlético Magallanes were awarded a corner in the 8th minute after Sociedad Anónima's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Ruperto Salvadore took the corner. The corner led Club Atlético Magallanes's Best Jesus to fire away a dangerous shot which Antonio Sorriva despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. In the 15th minute, Velasco Rollan made a precise shot to the right of Jimeno Nevada. Club Atlético Magallanes's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Taci Argün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Antonio Sorriva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Tadeo Precioso fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Club Atlético Magallanes's protests and gave Tadeo Precioso a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Sociedad Anónima booed when Club Atlético Magallanes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tadeo Precioso didn't get a good kick on the ball. A sloppy throw-in by Leonardo Naelio in the 25th minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna. Velasco Rollan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Nevada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Sociedad Anónima's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Niva Bruna in the 28th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Velasco Rollan in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jimeno Nevada saved Club Atlético Magallanes from getting behind. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind Club Atlético Magallanes's goalkeeper Jimeno Nevada, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 39 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Nevada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Club Atlético Magallanes players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Sociedad Anónima were winning 0-1.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Taci Argün made a kick off. Jimeno Nevada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Marino Malet in the 53rd minute. After 55 minutes Club Atlético Magallanes's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Niva Bruna who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Niva Bruna got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Jimeno Nevada quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. After 56 played minutes Sociedad Anónima got a freekick which was hit by Sengrat Nazario. In the 61stth minute of the game Velasco Rollan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Velasco Rollan's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimeno Nevada read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. Antonio Sorriva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ruperto Salvadore, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. In the 78th minute, Velasco Rollan ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jimeno Nevada was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jan Sierocki was substituted for Taci Argün. Sociedad Anónima's Cordaryal Valdecañas was substituted for Ramos Trasmiera. A collision led to Sociedad Anónima getting a freekick after 82 minutes play. Velasco Rollan hit a great ball. In the 84th minute Jan Sierocki shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Antonio Sorriva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 85 minutes into the match, Sociedad Anónima's Velasco Rollan sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimeno Nevada narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Club Atlético Magallanes's Jimeno Nevada proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Club Atlético Magallanes from getting a goal against them. In the 88th minute, Sociedad Anónima's Felix Larren ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Jimeno Nevada. Jimeno Nevada yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Sociedad Anónima's Niva Bruna managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Przemyslaw Niedziela in the 95 minute of the game. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Sociedad Anónima walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
