The audience thought a goal was coming when Jonas Berggren got free with Tanek Ostrowski in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 20 minutes into the match, Jupiter Siemiatycze's goal looked a bit too open when Czeslaw Domeracki came free, but Dobromir Klawki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jonas Berggren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tanek Ostrowski having to interfere. If Zbyszko Pieprz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Olympique Gdynia's Tanek Ostrowski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jonas Berggren in the 35th minute of play. In the 36th minute of the match Jupiter Siemiatycze got a corner. Olympique Gdynia's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Zbyszko Pieprz ran over to the corner to take the kick. Jupiter Siemiatycze's Dobromir Klawki played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Czeslaw Domeracki in the 38th minute of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jonas Berggren made a kick off. If Azim Onatsu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tirso Isasaga kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Dobromir Klawki made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Czeslaw Domeracki in the 56th minute of play. With a little luck, Jupiter Siemiatycze's Dobromir Klawki got control of the ball when Şota Arveladze tried to sneak it across the goal line. Through an outstanding action, after 61 minutes, Dobromir Klawki successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Czeslaw Domeracki in the 69th minute of play forced Jupiter Siemiatycze's goalkeeper Dobromir Klawki to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 71 minutes into the match, Jupiter Siemiatycze's goal looked a bit too open when Şota Arveladze came free, but Dobromir Klawki reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tanek Ostrowski took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Azim Onatsu, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. German Eskuin made in the 80th minute of the game a quick throw-in and Tirso Isasaga immediately put the ball in play. The Olympique Gdynia supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Olympique Gdynia would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
