When Alfredo Martins came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Marquês de Herval fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alfredo Martins couldn't finish the play. Amedeo Faccio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Erasmo Yeste in the 16th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dida Taffarel saved Marquês de Herval from getting behind. After 17 played minutes Š¢σяpiσиŠ got a freekick which was hit by Rachman Eastwood. Dida Taffarel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amedeo Faccio in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24thth minute of the game Meriç Nurkan who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alfredo Martins took the ball and in the 25 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Emílio Cordeiro. Emílio Cordeiro dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Emílio Cordeiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dida Taffarel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Meriç Nurkan in the 34th minute of play. 41 minutes into the match, German Cano had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Emílio Cordeiro. Š¢σяpiσиŠ's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that German Cano was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. 46 minutes into the match, Š¢σяpiσиŠ's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Emílio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 48 minutes into the game, Lorenzo Mendebal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Marquês de Herval's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Š¢σяpiσиŠ the free kick. The supporters of Š¢σяpiσиŠ booed when Marquês de Herval was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 48 match minutes in a wonderful position. Lorenzo Mendebal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Š¢σяpiσиŠ made a substitution. Peiter Mora replaced Zula Puch. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alfredo Martins was the one to do the kick off. Dida Taffarel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Meriç Nurkan, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. A collision led to Š¢σяpiσиŠ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Bobby Moore hit a great ball. Emílio Cordeiro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 58th minute of play. After 58 played minutes Marquês de Herval got a freekick which was hit by Gaston Gonzalez. Alfredo Martins's late challenge caught a Š¢σяpiσиŠ's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfredo Martins helped the player get up and apologised. Alfredo Martins kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. In the 66th minute Erasmo Yeste shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Meriç Nurkan in the 68th managed to get into a good position. The Š¢σяpiσиŠ fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Gilberto Cardozo was substituted for Erasmo Yeste. After 88 minutes, Gilberto Cardozo made it 2-2 with a short kick to the right side. Marquês de Herval's Dida Taffarel tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 91st minute Gilberto Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dida Taffarel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Š¢σяpiσиŠ fans' excitement grew in the 93rd match minute when Š¢σяpiσиŠ's Meriç Nurkan looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 98 minutes into the match, Š¢σяpiσиŠ's goal looked a bit too open when Alfredo Martins came free, but Emílio Cordeiro reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Š¢σяpiσиŠ had played much better football throughout.
