With an extended leg and a bit of luck Valdir Pérez prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th minute, Adrián Espadas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Valdir Pérez was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. 19 minutes into the match, Soroca F.C.'s Zézinho Neiva sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Valdir Pérez narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 21 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Adrián Espadas came free, but Valdir Pérez reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When José Augusto Castro fell near the penalty area in the 24th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Verde FC's protests and gave José Augusto Castro a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Soroca F.C. booed when União Verde FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. José Augusto Castro didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 25th minute, Adrián Espadas made a precise shot to the right of Valdir Pérez. União Verde FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-4. Adrián Espadas might have been able to make a better finish in the 28th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Valdir Pérez. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Adrián Espadas ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 39thth minute of the game Adrián Espadas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but União Verde FC's Valdir Pérez was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrián Espadas struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Valdir Pérez didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Soroca F.C.. When Adrián Espadas came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the Soroca F.C. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adrián Espadas couldn't finish the play. If Iordanis Karatzaferis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-6 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Vinícius Lago to make the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Adrián Espadas had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Valdir Pérez. With his leg Valdir Pérez managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Valdir Pérez made a fantastic save in the 70th minute, when Răzvan Necula sent off a good shot on target. In the 71st minute the ball was on its way in behind União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. União Verde FC's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Răzvan Necula 72 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 0-10. Soroca F.C.'s Rodolfo Atarrabi was substituted for Hernan Lano. Valdir Pérez was a little too slow when Răzvan Necula got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 80th minute. The score was now 0-11. 84 minutes into the match, União Verde FC's goalkeeper Valdir Pérez had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Răzvan Necula. After 88 minutes of play, Soroca F.C.'s Răzvan Necula made it 0-12 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Valdir Pérez was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Lenílson Penha fell near the penalty area in the 92nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored União Verde FC's protests and gave Lenílson Penha a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to União Verde FC getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Lenílson Penha hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in União Verde FC's zone, Răzvan Necula stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Valdir Pérez came out of the goal and Răzvan Necula tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
