Kauã Mandrak was slow to take the kick. During this time Retumbante FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner led Retumbante FC's Kauã Mandrak to fire away a dangerous shot which Dida Taffarel despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Dida Taffarel was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Belmiro Mello showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 2-0 in the 22 minute of play. Belmiro Mello sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Wilmer Gallo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Martins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The attack was good, but when Belmiro Mello in the 37th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. In the 40th minute, German Cano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.

Alfredo Martins hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. 57 minutes into the game, Marquês de Herval's Alfredo Martins nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Wilmer Gallo made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. German Cano's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Wilmer Gallo read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 60th minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Alfredo Martins in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Wilmer Gallo saved Retumbante FC from getting behind. Wilmer Gallo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfredo Martins in the 65th minute of play. A collision led to Retumbante FC getting a freekick after 66 minutes play. Naldo Sabóia hit a great ball. Alfredo Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 70th minute, Selami Rezan hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 76 minutes into the match, Retumbante FC's goalkeeper Wilmer Gallo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Alfredo Martins. 78 minutes had been played when some careless play by Retumbante FC's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Gao Xiang Guang was slow to take the kick. During this time Marquês de Herval's players had a chance to rest. Gao Xiang Guang made a great header on Marquês de Herval's corner, it was just that Retumbante FC's Wilmer Gallo managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Marquês de Herval's Moussa Kabre got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the game, Alfredo Martins cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-2.
