The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Kasım Okanalp showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sven-Olof Sjöberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 3rd minute. After taking down the ball on ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's corner Dong Cheng Si fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vito Furlan quite easily take care of the ball. With a little luck, Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan got control of the ball when Dong Cheng Si tried to sneak it across the goal line. Kasım Okanalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Peter Haglund, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Thanks to some nice moves Dong Cheng Si could shoot a difficult shot in the 18th minute, which Vito Furlan however easily saved by the left post. Uğur Erkovich recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 20th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Dong Cheng Si in the 21stth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Vito Furlan, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 22 minutes Höglunda IK's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Bill Nietlispach who took care of the corner kick. After taking down the ball on ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's corner Benedykt Przewozik fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Vito Furlan quite easily take care of the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Höglunda IK's goal looked a bit too open when Uğur Erkovich came free, but Vito Furlan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Bill Nietlispach in the 30th minute. Bill Nietlispach made a great header on ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's corner, it was just that Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan managed to reach the ball for a save. After a rather tough play, Höglunda IK's Sven-Olof Sjöberg got a free kick in the 34th minute. Robin Carlsson hit a great ball. Dong Cheng Si could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Vito Furlan made a huge save. Höglunda IK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Dong Cheng Si 41 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. After having played for 45 minutes, Dong Cheng Si managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. ÇORUM SPOR KULÜBÜ's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dong Cheng Si was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 59thth minute of the game Dong Cheng Si who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The audience was convinced that Dong Cheng Si's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vito Furlan was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dong Cheng Si in the 81st minute of play. When Karl-Erik Lundgren fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Höglunda IK's protests and gave Karl-Erik Lundgren a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Höglunda IK's Karl-Erik Lundgren got a free kick in the 82nd minute.
