Ivica Lufen was slow to take the kick. During this time Hamburg City Vampires's players had a chance to rest. A nice corner shot did that Ivica Lufen got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Vito Furlan quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 11 minutes into the match, Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andreas Eliasson. Höglunda IK's Vito Furlan played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Reinhard Borkmann in the 14th minute of play. The Hamburg City Vampires fans' excitement grew in the 14th match minute when Hamburg City Vampires's Gervasio Isias looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Vito Furlan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gervasio Isias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some careless play in the Höglunda IK defense, Reinhard Borkmann kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vito Furlan. The Höglunda IK fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vito Furlan should have stopped the shot. Peter Haglund could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 22nd minute of the match, but Eugeniusz Tyski made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Karl-Erik Lundgren hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Hamburg City Vampires's Benny White got a free kick in the 26th minute. Reinhard Borkmann scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Vito Furlan, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vito Furlan stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Gervasio Isias's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. Vito Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Reinhard Borkmann in the 38th minute of play. If Reinhard Borkmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sture Lägdin during the 44th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Hamburg City Vampires booed when Höglunda IK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sture Lägdin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Vito Furlan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gervasio Isias in the 45th minute of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Gervasio Isias made the kick off in the second half. Vito Furlan was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Gervasio Isias showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 52 minute of play. Reinhard Borkmann received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Vito Furlan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 58 minutes into the game, Anton Bremming was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Höglunda IK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hamburg City Vampires the free kick. A collision led to Höglunda IK getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Anton Bremming hit a great ball. Peter Haglund sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reinhard Borkmann fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vito Furlan having to interfere. If Reinhard Borkmann had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Vito Furlan didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Gervasio Isias went, in the 79th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. After a rather tough play, Höglunda IK's Sture Lägdin got a free kick in the 84th minute. In the 86th minute of the match Hamburg City Vampires got a corner. Höglunda IK's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ivica Lufen ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Hamburg City Vampires's Ivica Lufen to fire away a dangerous shot which Vito Furlan despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. When Hamburg City Vampires's Reinhard Borkmann in the 88th minute got a chance for a shot 88th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Höglunda IK's goalie prevented a goal. 91 minutes had been played when some careless play by Höglunda IK's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
