The audience thought a goal was coming when Samuel Abel got free with Andres Ekhi in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Abel Ramalho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abel Ramalho to strike the kick off in the second half. Geovânio Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Anton Björnberg having to interfere. If Florencio Jax had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ricart Futebol Clube's Eusebio Hori was substituted for Abel Ramalho. After a defensive mix-up in Inter de Chillán's zone, Emanuel Olisadebe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anton Björnberg came out of the goal and Emanuel Olisadebe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Inter de Chillán's Eladio Araujo was substituted for Samuel Abel. Eusebio Hori could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Anton Björnberg made a huge save. Ricart Futebol Clube's Andres Ekhi played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Eladio Araujo in the 71st minute of play. In the 87th minute, Eladio Araujo made a precise shot to the right of Andres Ekhi. Ricart Futebol Clube's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. After 91 played minutes, Inter de Chillán's Tobías Izamit shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Andres Ekhi came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Inter de Chillán reached it.
