Eugeniusz Tyski came out of the goal in the 16th minute to try and stop a shot by Inter de Chillán's Rickard Erserman. But to his dismay, Rickard Erserman quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Rickard Erserman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamburg City Vampires's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rickard Erserman was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. After the first half Inter de Chillán were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Rickard Erserman made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rickard Erserman in the 51st minute of play forced Hamburg City Vampires's goalkeeper Eugeniusz Tyski to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rickard Erserman struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Eugeniusz Tyski didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Inter de Chillán. After 75 played minutes Hamburg City Vampires got a freekick which was hit by Géza Rákosi. Eugeniusz Tyski made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vatan Enfal in the 78th minute. 85 minutes into the match, Hamburg City Vampires's goal looked a bit too open when Vatan Enfal came free, but Eugeniusz Tyski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 87th minute Inter de Chillán were awarded a corner. Tobías Izamit went to the cornerflag to take it. A well-hit corner resulted in Arnaldo Detmer heading the ball towards the goal, but to his dismay he misdirected it and missed the goal completely. A collision led to Hamburg City Vampires getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Orest Bubniv hit a great ball.
