The audience thought a goal was coming when Paulinho Fonseca got free with Ernesto Varela in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Aílton Sousa hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Afonso Maciel in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Marquinhos Diniz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Edgar Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ernesto Varela made a fantastic save in the 17th minute, when Wilian Antunes sent off a good shot on target. When the match had gone on for 80 minutes, Edgar Baiano took a quick shot and it went in 2-2 without a chance for Marquinhos Diniz to make any attempt to save it. In the 82nd match minute, Jovens Democratas MZC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marcinho Sampaio to maneuver through the defense. Marquinhos Diniz made a fantastic save in the 88th minute, when Edgar Baiano sent off a good shot on target. The referee felt a red card was in order, 89 minutes into the game, when César Coelho put in a rough tackle. A collision led to Jovens Democratas MZC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. César Coelho hit a great ball. Ernesto Varela made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mateus Macedo in the 95th minute of play.
The players didn't get much rest, but they still tried to pep each other up as they lined up for the first half in overtime. Jovens Democratas MZC's Wilian Antunes started the play with his kick off. After 103 minutes, Evaristo Rossi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Jovens Democratas MZC and the ITAFUT 4EVER players grew even worse after the yellow card.
