Gilbert Podolski made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Artūras Ronaldo in the 3rd minute of play. Erikas Mikoliūnas made a fantastic save in the 5th minute, when Kazimierz Dylla sent off a good shot on target. In the 8th match minute, FC COSA NOSTRA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Slawomir Milan to maneuver through the defense. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Kazimierz Dylla got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ryszard Pilipiec could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 11th minute of the match, but Erikas Mikoliūnas made a huge save. Ryszard Pilipiec kicked a quick shot right in front of the goal in the 11thth minute. Though ot was a great shot FC COSA NOSTRA's keeper Erikas Mikoliūnas was sill able to block leaving the score board unchanged. In the 12th minute of the match Pogoń Stawiszyn got a corner. FC COSA NOSTRA's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Radoslaw Trojanowski ran over to the corner to take the kick. Gilbert Podolski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Artūras Ronaldo's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. In the 18th minute Artūras Ronaldo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilbert Podolski saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Erikas Mikoliūnas made a fantastic save in the 19th minute, when Jacek Kolbe sent off a good shot on target. In the 23rdth minute of the game Artūras Ronaldo who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Artūras Ronaldo in the 24th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gilbert Podolski saved Pogoń Stawiszyn from getting behind. 25 minutes into the game, Ryszard Pilipiec recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Erikas Mikoliūnas. Ryszard Pilipiec showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. 28 minutes into the match, FC COSA NOSTRA's goal looked a bit too open when Ryszard Pilipiec came free, but Erikas Mikoliūnas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Pogoń Stawiszyn's Gilbert Podolski played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Artūras Ronaldo in the 29th minute of play. After 33 minutes, Julian Kossakowski mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Pogoń Stawiszyn and the FC COSA NOSTRA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC COSA NOSTRA booed when Pogoń Stawiszyn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Julian Kossakowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Stanislaw Trojanowski took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Gilbert Podolski. Pogoń Stawiszyn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the game's 34th minute FC COSA NOSTRA's Stanislaw Trojanowski took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Gilbert Podolski and thus the score was 1-1. Artūras Ronaldo ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 71st minute of the match, Artūras Ronaldo tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gilbert Podolski saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. After having played for 76 minutes, Artūras Ronaldo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC COSA NOSTRA's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artūras Ronaldo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Gilbert Podolski showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Artūras Ronaldo, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. Gilbert Podolski had great luck who in the 78thth minute grab hold of the ball when Artūras Ronaldo from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ryszard Pilipiec in the 82nd minute of play forced FC COSA NOSTRA's goalkeeper Erikas Mikoliūnas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gilbert Podolski stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zhou Zhan Liang's shot from short distance in the 84th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Pogoń Stawiszyn's goal looked a bit too open when Artūras Ronaldo came free, but Gilbert Podolski reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, FC COSA NOSTRA's Artūras Ronaldo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gilbert Podolski. Gilbert Podolski yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-3. The audience was convinced that Ryszard Pilipiec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Erikas Mikoliūnas was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Artūras Ronaldo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilbert Podolski having to interfere. The FC COSA NOSTRA supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing FC COSA NOSTRA would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
