Jorginho Brodel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Thiago Gol, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. The supporters of JULM C.F. booed when SCs StarS was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Edgar Reitsema didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Thiago Gol ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Jorginho Brodel was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. In the 33rd minute, Enrique Saura left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The JULM C.F. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by 孟洋青 in the 35th minute of play forced SCs StarS's goalkeeper Petr Čech to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ma Tian in the 38th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Petr Čech saved SCs StarS from getting behind. Thiago Gol received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Jorginho Brodel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Enrique Saura sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 46th minute, Robert de Graaf hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Ma Tian came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the JULM C.F. fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ma Tian couldn't finish the play. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jorginho Brodel made an important save on a dangerous shot by Thiago Gol in the 53rd minute. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Tian in the 55th minute of play. Robert de Graaf kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. Petr Čech showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ma Tian in the 65th minute of the match. SCs StarS's Petr Čech played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Enrique Saura in the 69th minute of play. Petr Čech stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ma Tian's shot from short distance in the 70th minute. Petr Čech took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ma Tian, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ma Tian took the ball and in the 75 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Petr Čech. Petr Čech dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. JULM C.F. made a substitution. 赵文林 replaced Ben Kiesel. 81 minutes into the match, Jordy Dirks had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jorginho Brodel. JULM C.F.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Jordy Dirks was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-2. If Thiago Gol had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Thiago Gol in the 85th minute of play forced JULM C.F.'s goalkeeper Jorginho Brodel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. JULM C.F. were awarded a corner in the 89th minute after SCs StarS's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Tiburcio Lejalde took the corner. The corner ended in Tiburcio Lejalde almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but SCs StarS's Petr Čech did a great save. Co Scholten hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. Petr Čech made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ma Tian in the 96th minute of play. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
