But to his dismay, Jonathon Seymour quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. The supporters of Shamokin FC booed when Sanfrecce Hiroshima was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kasdi Harkouk didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mansour Harkouk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jonathon Seymour, who was totally free with the ball in the 18th minute. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Jonathon Seymour in the 23rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mansour Harkouk saved Sanfrecce Hiroshima from getting behind. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jonathon Seymour in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mansour Harkouk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Boyd Grant kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. Ahmed Mazzid fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nolan Bannister having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Donnie Guzman in the 32nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mansour Harkouk saved Sanfrecce Hiroshima from getting behind. In the 35th minute Donnie Guzman shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mansour Harkouk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jonathon Seymour took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Mansour Harkouk. Mansour Harkouk dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Mansour Harkouk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rick Frost in the 43rd minute of play. Nolan Bannister took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Mazzid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jonathon Seymour hit a great freekick 48 minutes into the match. After the first half Shamokin FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Jonathon Seymour stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Shamokin FC's zone, Fouad Al-Jazairia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Nolan Bannister came out of the goal and Fouad Al-Jazairia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Mansour Harkouk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jonathon Seymour in the 55th minute of play. In the 57th minute, Shamokin FC's Jonathon Seymour ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mansour Harkouk. Mansour Harkouk yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rick Frost in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mansour Harkouk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After having played for 67 minutes, Rick Frost managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shamokin FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rick Frost was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jonathon Seymour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Mansour Harkouk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 77 minutes, Jonathon Seymour mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Shamokin FC and the Sanfrecce Hiroshima players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jonathon Seymour kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. A collision led to Sanfrecce Hiroshima getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Larbi Mammeri hit a great ball. 84 minutes into the game, Shamokin FC's Jonathon Seymour nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Mansour Harkouk made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. In the 87th minute, Ahmed Mazzid hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tomas Key in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Mansour Harkouk saved Sanfrecce Hiroshima from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Jonathon Seymour's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mansour Harkouk was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. If Ahmed Mazzid had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 93 played minutes Sanfrecce Hiroshima got a freekick which was hit by Fouad Al-Jazairia.
