Sertaç Taştan blasted a shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruce Torres having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Okan Ergüç got free with Bruce Torres in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Artvin FC booed when Queens Park Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walker Wallace didn't get a good kick on the ball. Okan Ergüç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 17th minute, Artvin FC's Okan Ergüç ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bruce Torres. Bruce Torres yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. Theodore Hastings fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saadettin Baştugay having to interfere. Bruce Torres took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Okan Ergüç, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Artvin FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Sertaç Taştan hit a great ball. 27 minutes in the game Eddie Lange did a throw-in, and the ball was quickly in game thanks to Lawrence Camacho. Mazhar Çakır kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Queens Park Rangers's Bruce Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save Queens Park Rangers from getting a goal against them. With an all-out effort, Artvin FC's Bruce Torres threw himself towards the right post 36 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Okan Ergüç, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. After 37 played minutes Queens Park Rangers got a freekick which was hit by Rosario Lunsford. In the 39th match minute, Queens Park Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anson Skinner to maneuver through the defense. Theodore Hastings struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Saadettin Baştugay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Queens Park Rangers. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Okan Ergüç made the kick off in the second half. Eddie Lange's late challenge caught a Artvin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eddie Lange helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Queens Park Rangers's Eddie Lange got a free kick in the 57th minute. Saadettin Baştugay took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Theodore Hastings, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Waldo Fairchild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Saadettin Baştugay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mustafa Necati Denizer recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Mustafa Necati Denizer in the 64th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Bruce Torres saved Queens Park Rangers from getting behind. Preston Keene recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Okan Ergüç kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 71st minute, Walker Wallace hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 75 minutes, Rodger Robles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Queens Park Rangers and the Artvin FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Queens Park Rangers's Rosario Lunsford pulled a muscle in his leg after 76 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 76 minutes, Mazhar Çakır mouthed his way into the referee's book. If Waldo Fairchild had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the match, Artvin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theodore Hastings came free, but Saadettin Baştugay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bruce Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustafa Necati Denizer, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Queens Park Rangers players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Artvin FC.
