The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 played minutes Mena FC got a freekick which was hit by Jesus Hemphill. A very good chance. Wilbur Cortez scored 0-2 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Mansour Harkouk, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. A throw-in in the 24th minute of the game was made by Hamid Kouici with Cheikha Drioueche as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. Rolland Bonilla was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ahmed Mazzid showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 26 minute of play. Fouad Al-Jazairia kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. Ryan Dale charged in rather forcefully in the 35th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Jackson Metz couldn't finish the play. Davis Hinkle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Mansour Harkouk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Wilbur Cortez in the 53rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mansour Harkouk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 58th minute, Wilbur Cortez reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Mansour Harkouk. The goal made the score 1-3. Mansour Harkouk was a little too slow when Wilbur Cortez got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-4. Davis Hinkle was extremely unlucky when he, in the 67th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Mansour Harkouk was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Wilbur Cortez showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-5 in the 67 minute of play. In the 70th match minute, Sanfrecce Hiroshima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fouad Al-Jazairia to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Wilbur Cortez managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mena FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilbur Cortez was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Mansour Harkouk breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 74 minutes into the game, Ahmed Mazzid was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sanfrecce Hiroshima's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mena FC the free kick. A collision led to Sanfrecce Hiroshima getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Ahmed Mazzid hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Hamid Kouici got a free kick in the 76th minute. After 77 played minutes, Mena FC's Jackson Metz shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Mansour Harkouk came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mena FC reached it. Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Mansour Harkouk played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wilbur Cortez in the 80th minute of play. Mansour Harkouk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez in the 85th minute of play. Wilbur Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilbur Cortez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mansour Harkouk having to interfere.
