An unexpectedly hard shot by Camillo Di Loreto in the 5th minute of play forced Mena FC's goalkeeper Rolland Bonilla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilbur Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilbur Cortez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Damiano Pizzi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wilbur Cortez's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Pizzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 13th minute of play. Damiano Pizzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jackson Metz in the 15th minute of the match. Wilbur Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 31st match minute, Mena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davis Hinkle to maneuver through the defense. Wilbur Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Owen Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Wilbur Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Barcelona's Camillo Di Loreto got a free kick in the 40th minute. In the 45th minute, Achille Marra hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 48th minute of the match Jackson Metz sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Damiano Pizzi skillfully saved the ball. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilbur Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Wilbur Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Rolland Bonilla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Camillo Di Loreto in the 55th minute of the match. Alex Di Meo came free with the goalkeeper in the 57th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Rolland Bonilla could save by the left post. In the 58th match minute, Mena FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Teodoro Cora to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Mena FC's zone, Camillo Di Loreto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rolland Bonilla came out of the goal and Camillo Di Loreto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Wilbur Cortez made a precise shot to the right of Damiano Pizzi. Barcelona's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Rosario Hart kicked well hit freekick during the 69th minute of the match. Wilbur Cortez struck a weak shot in the 71st minute. Damiano Pizzi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mena FC. If Davis Hinkle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. If Wilbur Cortez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 played minutes Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Camillo Di Loreto. Ryan Dale hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. When the match had gone on for 82 minutes, Alex Di Meo took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Rolland Bonilla to make any attempt to save it. Damiano Pizzi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilbur Cortez's shot from short distance in the 85th minute. Alex Di Meo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rolland Bonilla read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 91st minute of play. In the 94th minute Wilbur Cortez shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Damiano Pizzi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. Mena FC fully deserved thier win.
