The referee ignored Oxford United's protests and gave Derrick Blue a yellow card for diving instead. 19 minutes into the match, Oxford United's goalkeeper Alonzo Dykes had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Onur Batüralp. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Albert Handy in the 21st minute of the match. The supporters of Oxford United booed when Topkapi SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ertan Karaoğlan didn't get a good kick on the ball. Young Wolfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Young Wolfe in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bektaş Veli Tunçkan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Young Wolfe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Oxford United's Young Wolfe got a good chance for a goal in the 53rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Onur Batüralp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 57 minutes, Abdul Wood mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oxford United and the Topkapi SK players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Oxford United's Abdul Wood got a free kick in the 57th minute. Young Wolfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 60th minute, Oxford United's Derrick Blue dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-1. When the match had gone on for 62 minutes, Young Wolfe took a quick shot and it went in 0-2 without a chance for Bektaş Veli Tunçkan to make any attempt to save it. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Onur Batüralp during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 66 played minutes Topkapi SK got a freekick which was hit by Onur Batüralp. An unexpectedly hard shot by Young Wolfe in the 67th minute of play forced Topkapi SK's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tunçkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Abdi Saygın Acarer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cody Hall in the 75th minute of play forced Topkapi SK's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tunçkan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Topkapi SK's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdi Saygın Acarer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Young Wolfe struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Oxford United. Abdi Saygın Acarer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 85 minutes into the game, one of Oxford United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Young Wolfe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Bektaş Veli Tunçkan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Young Wolfe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 94th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bektaş Veli Tunçkan having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play Oxford United's Derrick Blue was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Oxford United getting a freekick after 97 minutes play. Derrick Blue hit a great ball.
