A collision led to US Albenga getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Alvise Restaino hit a great ball. After 6 played minutes US Albenga got a freekick which was hit by Ermanno Cavallaro. US Albenga's Alex Pacella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Young Wolfe in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the match, Oxford United's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Neymar came free, but Alonzo Dykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. US Albenga were awarded a corner in the 12th minute after Oxford United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Daniele Panella took the corner. The corner led US Albenga's Ermanno Cavallaro to fire away a dangerous shot which Alonzo Dykes despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Júnior Neymar's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alonzo Dykes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 15th minute of play. In the 25th minute, Júnior Neymar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Alonzo Dykes was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. 28 minutes into the match, Oxford United's goal looked a bit too open when Júnior Neymar came free, but Alonzo Dykes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oxford United's goalkeeper Alonzo Dykes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Júnior Neymar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Alonzo Dykes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Neymar, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. After 34 minutes, Dillon Dotson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Oxford United and the US Albenga players grew even worse after the yellow card. Dillon Dotson kicked well hit freekick during the 34th minute of the match. 35 minutes into the match, Júnior Neymar notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Oxford United's Alonzo Dykes. Alonzo Dykes was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Júnior Neymar took the ball and in the 39 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alonzo Dykes. Alonzo Dykes dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. In the 43rd minute, one of Oxford United:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Oxford United. After having played for 47 minutes, Júnior Neymar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. US Albenga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Júnior Neymar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Júnior Neymar to strike the kick off in the second half. Oxford United's Alonzo Dykes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 51st minute of the match, managed to save Oxford United from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as US Albenga's Júnior Neymar slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Alonzo Dykes. That made the score 0-5 after 56 minutes of play. After having played for 66 minutes, Daniele Panella managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. US Albenga's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Panella was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The supporters of US Albenga booed when Oxford United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dillon Dotson didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alonzo Dykes didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Júnior Neymar went, in the 68th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-7 was the resulting score. Dillon Dotson kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. In the 74th minute, Whitney Erickson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Oxford United's Alonzo Dykes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Oxford United from getting a goal against them. When US Albenga's Júnior Neymar in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Alonzo Dykes made a fantastic save in the 79th minute, when Júnior Neymar sent off a good shot on target. 81 minutes into the match, Young Wolfe had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Alex Pacella. US Albenga's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Young Wolfe was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-7. Oxford United's Alonzo Dykes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 84th minute of the match, managed to save Oxford United from getting a goal against them. Alonzo Dykes came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by US Albenga's Júnior Neymar. But to his dismay, Júnior Neymar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-8. In the 95th minute the ball was on its way in behind Oxford United's goalkeeper Alonzo Dykes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 96 played minutes Oxford United got a freekick which was hit by Dillon Dotson. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. US Albenga walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
