The corner led US Albenga's Christian Antonangeli to fire away a dangerous shot which Saadettin Baştugay despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 5 minutes into the game, Sertaç Taştan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Artvin FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave US Albenga the free kick. After 6 played minutes Artvin FC got a freekick which was hit by Sertaç Taştan. Saadettin Baştugay came out of the goal in the 6th minute to try and stop a shot by US Albenga's Júnior Neymar. But to his dismay, Júnior Neymar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Júnior Neymar struck a weak shot in the 10th minute. Saadettin Baştugay didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for US Albenga. In the 12th match minute, Artvin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Orhan Seyfi Aktaç to maneuver through the defense. When Christian Antonangeli came up free with the goalie in the 12th minute, the US Albenga fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Christian Antonangeli couldn't finish the play. In the 14th minute, Vitomir Piralkov left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The US Albenga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Saadettin Baştugay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Júnior Neymar in the 19th minute of the match. In the 19th match minute, Artvin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bahtiyar Kağan to maneuver through the defense. If Okan Ergüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artvin FC's attentive Ahmet Boran Turay managed to snatch the ball when Ermanno Cavallaro made a throw-in in the 27th minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Ergüç in the 28th minute of play forced US Albenga's goalkeeper Alex Pacella to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 35th minute, Artvin FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Daniele Panella fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The throw-in from Ermanno Cavallaro in the 39th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Artvin FC's Ahmet Boran Turay. Elia Di Dio's late challenge caught a Artvin FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Elia Di Dio helped the player get up and apologised. Alex Pacella had in the 44thth minute some difficulties stopping Sertaç Taştan's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. 45 minutes into the game, US Albenga's Júnior Neymar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Saadettin Baştugay made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Okan Ergüç made the kick off in the second half. Saadettin Baştugay showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Júnior Neymar, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Artvin FC's Eser Şahbaz managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Ermanno Cavallaro in the 54 minute of the game. In the 59th minute, Júnior Neymar got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 61 minutes, Júnior Neymar made it 5-0 with a short kick to the right side. Artvin FC's Saadettin Baştugay tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 66th match minute, US Albenga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ermanno Cavallaro to maneuver through the defense. US Albenga's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
