Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Faouzi Boutabout took the kick off in the first half of the match. In the 5th minute, Del Baca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some careless play in the Gothenburg FC defense, Wilbur Cortez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdelmalek Sifi. The Gothenburg FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdelmalek Sifi should have stopped the shot. Abdelmalek Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilbur Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Gothenburg FC's Mohammad Kaci Diafat got a free kick in the 18th minute. When Ali Mimoun fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gothenburg FC's protests and gave Ali Mimoun a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Gothenburg FC's Ali Mimoun got a free kick in the 21st minute. If Davis Hinkle had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilbur Cortez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Owen Stevens fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdelmalek Sifi having to interfere. Ryan Dale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Wilbur Cortez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Gothenburg FC's zone, Davis Hinkle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdelmalek Sifi came out of the goal and Davis Hinkle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Wilbur Cortez might have been able to make a better finish in the 42nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abdelmalek Sifi. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Wilbur Cortez ran back to his position shaking his head. Owen Stevens sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Wilbur Cortez stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Wilbur Cortez got free in front of the goal in the 53rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Abdelmalek Sifi was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. The throw-in from Ryan Dale in the 55th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Gothenburg FC's Ali Mimoun. A sloppy throw-in by Belmadi Djamel in the 63rd minute of the game went astray and was snapped up by Mena FC's Rosario Hart. Rosario Hart recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Abdelmalek Sifi was a little too slow when Jackson Metz got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 68th minute. The score was now 0-3. If Owen Stevens had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilbur Cortez took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Abdelmalek Sifi. Abdelmalek Sifi dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 83 minutes into the match, Gothenburg FC's goal looked a bit too open when Wilbur Cortez came free, but Abdelmalek Sifi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Abdelmalek Sifi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Wilbur Cortez in the 85th minute of play. In the 86th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gothenburg FC's goalkeeper Abdelmalek Sifi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Karim Djebar kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. Wilbur Cortez was extremely unlucky when he, in the 88th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. When Ryan Dale came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Mena FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ryan Dale couldn't finish the play. Abdelmalek Sifi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilbur Cortez, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 95 played minutes Gothenburg FC got a freekick which was hit by Kamel Bouteflika. Mena FC played a much better game than Gothenburg FC and deserved their victory. The Gothenburg FC players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
