After a defensive mix-up in Sanfrecce Hiroshima's zone, Feyzullay Tevfik stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mansour Harkouk came out of the goal and Feyzullay Tevfik tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sanfrecce Hiroshima's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Yusuf Bahadır Oylum 9 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 1-0. Ahmed Mazzid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Zeynel Fazilet tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nazmi Kıvılcım hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. After 24 played minutes PAPADAPOULOS got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Reha Çakmur. After 25 played minutes Sanfrecce Hiroshima got a freekick which was hit by Yazid Bahari. Seyfettin Şafakoğlu's late challenge caught a Sanfrecce Hiroshima's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Seyfettin Şafakoğlu helped the player get up and apologised. Seyfettin Şafakoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 30th minute of the match. After having played for 34 minutes, Yusuf Bahadır Oylum managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. PAPADAPOULOS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yusuf Bahadır Oylum was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mansour Harkouk made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Feyzullay Tevfik sent off a good shot on target. PAPADAPOULOS's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Ahmet Ziya Dengizer in the 40th minute. Feyzullay Tevfik could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 42nd minute of the match, but Mansour Harkouk made a huge save. 44 minutes into the game, Feyzullay Tevfik cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Mansour Harkouk was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Yusuf Bahadır Oylum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Mansour Harkouk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Yusuf Bahadır Oylum in the 52nd minute of play. Feyzullay Tevfik recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Feyzullay Tevfik in the 57th minute of play forced Sanfrecce Hiroshima's goalkeeper Mansour Harkouk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Sanfrecce Hiroshima getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Hamid Kouici hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, PAPADAPOULOS's Galip Taykara got a free kick in the 87th minute. When Ahmet Reha Çakmur fell near the penalty area in the 91st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored PAPADAPOULOS's protests and gave Ahmet Reha Çakmur a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, PAPADAPOULOS's Ahmet Reha Çakmur got a free kick in the 91st minute. Mansour Harkouk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Nazmi Kıvılcım in the 96th minute of the match. PAPADAPOULOS walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
