Davor Saller took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alfredo Herena, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Roman y Gero FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mauricio Tallia should have stopped the shot. After 34 minutes, Gilberto Cresencio mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Roman y Gero FC and the Hansa Rostock players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Roman y Gero FC's Gilberto Cresencio got a free kick in the 34th minute. Mauricio Tallia came out of the goal and Ashley Bäßler tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Jörg Bohnsack fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hansa Rostock's protests and gave Jörg Bohnsack a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th match minute, Hansa Rostock was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jörg Bohnsack to maneuver through the defense.
