In the 5th minute, Jamal Leon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 8 played minutes, US Albenga's Anfilogino Melone shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Benedict Timmons came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in US Albenga reached it. In the 13th minute, Daniele Panella left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The US Albenga fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. In the 30th match minute, Hillsville AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Avalos to maneuver through the defense. Benedict Timmons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Armin Muto in the 31st minute of play. If Anfilogino Melone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 36th minute, Armin Muto made a precise shot to the right of Benedict Timmons. Hillsville AF's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. 47 minutes into the game, US Albenga's Armin Muto nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Benedict Timmons made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-4. US Albenga made a substitution. Aldo Renzetti replaced Elia Di Dio.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Armin Muto made a kick off. With 55 minutes on the clock, Byron Burns commited a dangerous tackle. Emanuele Egger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. US Albenga's Alex Pacella played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Josiah Zavala in the 89th minute of play. After 92 minutes, Adriano Mandelli mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the US Albenga and the Hillsville AF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Adriano Mandelli kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. Adriano Mandelli scored 0-7 in the 96th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Benedict Timmons, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Adriano Mandelli took the ball and in the 99 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benedict Timmons. Benedict Timmons dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-8. The US Albenga players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
