The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Eddie Lange hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. Okan Ergüç struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Bruce Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artvin FC. In the 9th minute, Theodore Hastings reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Saadettin Baştugay. The goal made the score 1-0. If Baykan Sanak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Bahtiyar Kağan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruce Torres saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustafa Necati Denizer struck a weak shot in the 20th minute. Bruce Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artvin FC. Saadettin Baştugay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Theodore Hastings in the 21st minute of play. If Rodger Robles had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Ergüç in the 31st minute of play forced Queens Park Rangers's goalkeeper Bruce Torres to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Artvin FC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 32nd minute, when Waldo Fairchild scored to the left of an out of position Saadettin Baştugay, making the score, 2-0. 35 minutes into the match, Artvin FC's Okan Ergüç sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bruce Torres narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 40 minutes into the match, Artvin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Theodore Hastings came free, but Saadettin Baştugay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 43 minutes of play Queens Park Rangers's Eddie Lange was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Eddie Lange hit a great freekick 44 minutes into the match. The wind increased when Okan Ergüç made the kick off in the second half. Queens Park Rangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Artvin FC the free kick. In a very dangerous position, a player in Queens Park Rangers fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! Saadettin Baştugay came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Queens Park Rangers's Waldo Fairchild. But to his dismay, Theodore Hastings quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-0. Sertaç Taştan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 62nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Artvin FC getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Orhan Seyfi Aktaç hit a great ball. The supporters of Artvin FC booed when Queens Park Rangers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 66 match minutes in a wonderful position. Walker Wallace didn't get a good kick on the ball. Okan Ergüç sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 71 minutes into the match, Queens Park Rangers's Theodore Hastings sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Saadettin Baştugay narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 72nd match minute, Artvin FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mustafa Necati Denizer to maneuver through the defense. If Theodore Hastings had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Artvin FC's Sertaç Taştan got a good chance for a goal in the 84th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Theodore Hastings in the 86th minute of play forced Artvin FC's goalkeeper Saadettin Baştugay to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Okan Ergüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bruce Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Okan Ergüç, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Bruce Torres was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Sertaç Taştan capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sertaç Taştan really showed his touch with that goal: 4-1. Queens Park Rangers's Bruce Torres played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Okan Ergüç in the 96th minute of play. The Queens Park Rangers support was delighted with a win in a match that could easily have ended differently.
