The supporters of Barcelona booed when Ledesma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amado Seme didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ermegildo Hartz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Damiano Pizzi having to make a save. After 28 played minutes Ledesma got a freekick which was hit by Amado Seme. After a rather tough play, Ledesma's Amado Seme got a free kick in the 31st minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Ledesma fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 33rd minute. Penalty! Camillo Di Loreto struck a weak shot in the 38th minute. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Barcelona reached it. Marcial Salvidor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alex Di Meo in the 48th minute of the match. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

If Camillo Di Loreto had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Camillo Di Loreto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ermegildo Hartz in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Damiano Pizzi prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ledesma's Americo Sol got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Ermegildo Hartz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ermegildo Hartz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Damiano Pizzi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 85th minute of play. A collision led to Barcelona getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Carlo Sarnelli hit a great ball. Marcial Salvidor showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Camillo Di Loreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 88th minute. When Ermegildo Hartz came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Ledesma fans jumped to their feet. Alex Di Meo kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Ledesma had won after a very even match.
