Sertaç Taştan struck a weak shot in the 9th minute. Benedict Timmons didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Artvin FC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Okan Ergüç in the 12th minute of play forced Hillsville AF's goalkeeper Benedict Timmons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Sertaç Taştan in the 14th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Benedict Timmons saved Hillsville AF from getting behind. If Jamal Leon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 19th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Okan Ergüç had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 23rd minute Okan Ergüç shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Benedict Timmons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sertaç Taştan in the 24th minute of play forced Hillsville AF's goalkeeper Benedict Timmons to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 26th minute Artvin FC were awarded a corner. Sertaç Taştan went to the cornerflag to take it. A nice corner shot did that Sertaç Taştan got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Benedict Timmons quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. Benedict Timmons made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Okan Ergüç in the 28th minute of play. After 30 played minutes Hillsville AF got a freekick which was hit by Josiah Zavala. Benedict Timmons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mustafa Necati Denizer in the 31st minute of the match. A collision led to Artvin FC getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Mazhar Çakır hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Artvin FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jamal Leon came free, but Saadettin Baştugay reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zackary Pierson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Saadettin Baştugay having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hillsville AF's Josiah Zavala got a free kick in the 40th minute. Saadettin Baştugay made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jamal Leon in the 43rd minute of play. In the 47th match minute, Hillsville AF was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Ruff to maneuver through the defense. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Jamal Leon scored 1-0 in the 51st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Saadettin Baştugay, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Jamal Leon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Hillsville AF's supporters rose to their feet, but Jamal Leon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Artvin FC's Okan Ergüç got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zackary Pierson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Saadettin Baştugay tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Hillsville AF getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. In the 78th minute, Willie Salas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Orhan Seyfi Aktaç charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Orhan Seyfi Aktaç the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. When the match had gone on for 83 minutes, Jamal Leon put it in 2-0 from a short distance just to the right of Saadettin Baştugay. When Guillermo Bauman fell near the penalty area in the 93rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hillsville AF's protests and gave Guillermo Bauman a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Artvin FC booed when Hillsville AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Guillermo Bauman didn't get a good kick on the ball. 96 minutes into the game, Sertaç Taştan recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Benedict Timmons. Sertaç Taştan showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
