Gualterio Policarpio didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some careless play in the Sanfrecce Hiroshima defense, Victoriano Pabla kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mansour Harkouk. The Sanfrecce Hiroshima fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mansour Harkouk should have stopped the shot. Gilberto Cresencio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 11th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mansour Harkouk took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gilberto Cresencio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 13th match minute, Sanfrecce Hiroshima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lakhdar Ulansi to maneuver through the defense. 0-2 became the score in the 21st minute when Victoriano Pabla elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. When Evaristo Gombal fell near the penalty area in the 25th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Roman y Gero FC's protests and gave Evaristo Gombal a yellow card for diving instead. Mansour Harkouk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matias Rivas in the 29th minute of play. Ahmed Mazzid sent away a hard shot on goal in the 33rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mansour Harkouk showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victoriano Pabla, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. A collision led to Roman y Gero FC getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Delmar Obano hit a great ball. In the 42nd minute Victoriano Pabla shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mansour Harkouk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Gilberto Cresencio was the one to do the kick off. The long shot by Gualterio Policarpio in the 52nd minute really tested Mansour Harkouk's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Mansour Harkouk didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Delmar Obano went, in the 53rd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 62nd minute, Roman y Gero FC's Gilberto Cresencio dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-5. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Mazzid in the 66th minute of play forced Roman y Gero FC's goalkeeper Mauricio Tallia to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The throw-in from Gualterio Policarpio in the 68th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Lakhdar Ulansi. 70 minutes into the game, Victoriano Pabla recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Mansour Harkouk. Victoriano Pabla showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. 76 minutes into the match, Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Ahmed Mazzid sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Mauricio Tallia narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mauricio Tallia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmed Mazzid, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Mansour Harkouk showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gilberto Cresencio in the 81st minute of the match. Mauricio Tallia didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Ahmed Mazzid went, in the 83rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. With a little luck, Sanfrecce Hiroshima's Mansour Harkouk got control of the ball when Victoriano Pabla tried to sneak it across the goal line. The Sanfrecce Hiroshima supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Roman y Gero FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Roman y Gero FC.
